The CJ Hubbard Foundation hopes to provide financial assistance for students in the Southern California area, making it possible for them to attend Santa Margarita Catholic High School and The University of California, Los Angeles.
Founded by family and friends, The CJ Hubbard Foundation is dedicated to provide scholarships opportunities in the name of a man who inspired so many others to reach for the stars and continue to lend a helping hand to others in need.
CJ’s life was tragically cut short on November 26, 2009 after a traumatic blow to the head burst a blood vessel in his brain causing him to experience brain death. Friends and family sat in the hospital and prayed for a Thanksgiving miracle as he lay on life support. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done and his family ultimately made the decision to take him off of life support. His organs were donated and will hopefully save many other lives.
CJ thrived at both institutions, and truly loved both of his schools. He credited them with not only his intellectual growth, but spiritual and emotional growth as well. At the young age of 27 years old, he was a successful commercial real estate broker with Cresa Partners in Newport Beach. He was described as a “rising star”. CJ was also a “star” to his family and friends, he was a light in their lives. His enthusiasm for life and his love for people, was infectious and uplifting. He was always there to lend a helping hand, an encouraging word or an ever-needed laugh. Through the work of The CJ Hubbard Foundation, his zest for life will live on. CJ will always be a light in others lives.

Chris LeVeque was a close friend of CJ's. They attended UCLA together and during their time in Westwood, were roommates and fraternity brothers. After college, CJ was a regular fixture at Chris' house in Los Angeles, nicknamed "The Manor." All of the "Manor-mates" will miss him dearly.
Chris is an attorney with Baker & Hostetler LLP in Los Angeles. He assisted in the formation of The CJ Hubbard Foundation and is preparing the applications required to secure our status as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
Nicole Winters became friends with CJ while attending Santa Margarita Catholic High School. She was fortunate enough to experience his energetic personality and charismatic attitude during their 4 years together. Nicole's fondest memory of CJ was when they were freshmen at SMCHS and were sitting at the lunch table and CJ showed his endless optimism by saying “I think we are going to be great friends, your fire and my smoothness, it’s a match made in heaven”. Whether it was making her laugh, being a good friend, or helping others, on behalf of every single Eagle who he inspired…we will forever miss you.
Nicole has been working in the charity world since she was 17 years old, starting at SMCHS with a mentorship program called Camp Footprints, in which she still affiliates with. In addition, she helps run a non-profit organization called The Good News Foundation that works closely with LA journalist and reporters in spreading ‘good news’. Her idea of building a donation fund turned into a great opportunity to share CJ’s story, reach out to others, and bring a community together.
She will be heading our fundraising efforts for The CJ Hubbard Foundation, focusing on creating partnerships and community integration.
Matt Woolley and CJ Hubbard were best friends since attending Santa Margarita High School. Matt was the catcher for the 2000 and 2001 varsity baseball teams and in the student leadership program. After college, Matt and CJ lived in Corona Del Mar and regularly golfed together and attended to Angel games. Professionally, they helped each other through networking opportunities and business development.
"CJ excelled in both academics and athletics. His loyalty, charisma, and sense of humor made him very well liked by everyone around him. I hope that this foundation will carry-on the values that CJ lived everyday, and provide opportunities to those who live in CJ's likeness."
Clint and Lindsay first met when she joined CresaPartners as an Advisor in January 2007. As was his way, Clint took Lindsay under his wing and shared his real estate knowledge and experience with her. They worked on many transactions together and formed a strong partnership as well as a close friendship.
Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Southern California with an emphasis in Entrepreneurial Studies and is a member of the USC Marshall School of Business Alumni Association. She is also a member of Four Pearls, an auxiliary of Beckstrand Cancer Foundation.
Although it is hard to imagine a future without Clint, Lindsay is proud to honor his memory through her commitment to The CJ Hubbard Foundation.
